clt's shouldn't be led by non-profits with purposes outside of hosting the CLT - it allows the source of funding to be more direct and like streamlines processes

Lol, that’s not what I said! But I do think interrogating what CLTs can be is important, and in my opinion, we need to focus on robust public funding and a plan to scale-up the model

And it’s not surprising that existing large social service orgs are a convenient way to do that and would be hard pressed to find an alternative to that in current political/economic context

Yes - one thing we were worried about is that we may be able to form CLTs but then non-profits will co-opt rather quickly
